Our newest, most compact pipe is inspired by vintage candles & the science of swirl.

After years of hearing your feedback, we decided it was time to replace our one-hitter style pipe, Sprout.

Sprout was the very first pipe in the Wandering Bud collection, crafted from hand-rolled coils of clay in Riley’s basement. Over the years, it’s had a few design tweaks, but it’s always been a fan favorite in all its forms.

However, with growth comes evolution. We felt it was time to retire Sprout in favor of a new design that addresses some of the feedback we’ve heard from our community. Inspiration struck in the form of funky, twisted taper candles.

Riley shared the vision with our friend Kylie from Okay Birch (who also makes our Dugouts!), a 3D printing whizz. Kylie brought the concept to life by creating 3D prototypes that our Production Manager, Molly, could utilize to make plaster molds for slip casting. And just like that, Bloom was born!

CLEANING:

This piece is made using mother of pearl and/or 22k gold luster that has been fired onto the piece in the kiln. Luster is an overglaze that creates a beautiful but more delicate finish than glaze alone. Please take extra care while cleaning this piece by avoiding the use of abrasives on areas with luster. Do not submerge this bubbler in alcohol for long periods of time. Instead, follow the instructions in this cleaning tutorial to keep this piece looking new forever.
